Armament Attributes – Understanding Roll Values
Not all Armament attributes have the same maximum value.
The more specific an attribute is, the higher its maximum roll can be.
This means that troop-specific attributes are usually stronger than universal troop attributes, if the rolled value is comparable.
Armament Basics
Armaments are powerful hero equipment pieces, but they follow important rules.
- Heroes cannot equip or manage Armaments outside the Shelter.
- Assistant Hero Armaments have no effect.
- The same hero cannot equip multiple Armaments with the same name at the same time.
Practical meaning: put your best Armaments on the leader hero of your main march. Assistant heroes do not benefit from their Armaments in battle.
Understanding Lethality and Block
Many players focus only on ATK and DEF, but Lethality and Block are extremely important combat attributes.
Higher Lethality increases the damage you deal.
If your Lethality is higher than the enemy's Block, your troops deal additional damage.
Higher Block reduces the damage you receive.
If your Block is higher than the enemy's Lethality, your troops take less damage.
This is why high-roll Lethality and Block attributes are often considered premium Armament rolls.
Attribute Hierarchy
Universal Attributes
Troop-Specific Attributes
Rally / Garrison Attributes
Rule of thumb: Universal < Troop-Specific < Rally / Garrison
Attack Comparison
For a ranged main march, Ranged Squad ATK has a higher maximum roll than universal Troop ATK.
Defense Comparison
Troop-specific defense attributes can roll slightly higher than universal troop defense.
Lethality Comparison
For one main troop type, troop-specific lethality is usually the better long-term target.
Block Comparison
For a ranged march, Ranged Squad Block can roll higher than universal Troop Block.
Rally & Garrison Attributes
Rally and Garrison attributes can have even higher maximum rolls than normal troop-specific attributes.
These attributes are powerful, but only valuable if your hero is actually used for rally or garrison roles.
Recommendation
If you mainly play one troop type, prioritize attributes for that troop type.
- Ranged Squad ATK
- Ranged Squad DEF
- Ranged Squad Lethality
- Ranged Squad Block
- Useful for mixed marches
- Lower maximum roll
- Still good if the value is high
Important Warning
Do not replace a strong universal roll with a weak troop-specific roll just because the name looks better.
Replace Troop ATK 4.5% with Ranged Squad ATK 1.0%
Keep the higher actual value until you roll a stronger troop-specific attribute.
Always compare the actual value before replacing an attribute.
Summary
- Universal attributes have lower maximum rolls.
- Troop-specific attributes can roll slightly higher.
- Rally and Garrison attributes can roll even higher.
- For one main troop type, troop-specific attributes are usually better.
- Actual value is still more important than the attribute name.
- Do not replace a high roll with a low roll blindly.
