Martin Overview

Martin is a Legendary universal support hero built around healing, sustain and PvE stability. He is not designed as a primary damage dealer. His value comes from keeping troops alive and improving long fights, especially in zombie-focused content and support-heavy setups.

Unlike many heroes with a fixed official formation recommendation, Martin functions more like a flexible assistant. He can support several commanders depending on the activity, which makes him useful for accounts that need sustain rather than burst damage.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths
  • Strong healing through his rage skill and awakening.
  • Excellent sustain value for PvE and zombie-focused content.
  • Improves troop HP, defense and healing effects.
  • Flexible support hero without strict troop-type dependency.
  • Good secondary commander for longer fights.
Weaknesses
  • Low direct burst compared with true damage heroes.
  • No official in-game formation recommendation.
  • Not a strong primary PvP commander.
  • Best used as support rather than as the main march focus.

Skills

Rage Skill

Dogma of Redemption

Deals direct damage to the target and heals slightly wounded units in Martin's troop based on a percentage of the damage dealt.

Rage: 1000 Damage Factor: 7000 Healing Conversion: 40%
R3ED Note: This is Martin's main sustain tool. The damage is secondary; the important part is the healing conversion that keeps troops alive in longer PvE fights.
Passive Skill

Heavenly Baptism

Increases the healing effect received by troops.

Healing Effect: +35%
R3ED Note: This passive is what makes Martin scale as a support commander. More healing value means better sustain across repeated fights.
Passive Skill

Holy Protection

Increases experience gained by the troop leader and assistant hero and increases troop HP.

EXP Gain: +50% Troop HP: +12%
R3ED Note: Useful for long-term progression and durability. The HP bonus supports Martin's sustain identity.
Passive Skill

Divine Grace

When healing is received, increases troop Defense for 3 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 6 seconds.

Troop DEF: +45% Duration: 3s Cooldown: 6s
R3ED Note: Martin does not only heal; he also turns healing into defensive uptime, which is useful in sustained PvE combat.

Awakening

Supernatural improves Martin's rage skill Dogma of Redemption.

Before Awakening: Damage Factor 7000 Before Awakening: Healing Conversion 40% After Awakening: Damage Factor 8400 After Awakening: Healing Conversion 45%
R3ED Note: Awakening improves both damage and healing. It is valuable if Martin becomes a regular PvE support, but he is still not a primary damage investment.

Hero Story

Show Lore

This priest never spoke about his past, and nobody knows exactly how he lost his left eye. He claims it was God's punishment for seeing too many sins that corrupted his soul.

After surviving several waves of zombie attacks, Martin repeatedly dreamed of a demon's face. At first he believed the demon had possessed his body and feared it would one day devour him, so he prayed and did penance every day.

The strange events grew worse. One morning he woke to find his hands covered in blood, surrounded by body parts, without remembering what had happened. The nightmares wore him down, and his faith slowly changed.

Martin came to believe that the outbreak was not a catastrophe, but a trial sent by God. In his eyes, those who have sinned are punished, while survivors are cleansed of their original sins and reborn. He sees himself as God's right hand, a shepherd meant to gather the lambs and cleanse the earth of sin.
